Gas valve fault

My ultra 105 boiler was locking out, intermittently after running for a few seconds to several minutes after ignition. The fault was "gas valve fault". After maintenance and a few days of observation I could find nothing wrong. Then I replaced the expansion tank (bladder leaking) and the boiler is running happy as ever. Can someone tell me what the two have in common?

Maintenance is awesome , when I have a young tech go on the first no heat call. There advice from me is do the normal maintenance first. It's fun to see them come back and say I'm not sure what was wrong.... It started working when I turned it back on Maintenance does wonders.
In your case doesn't sound like the two are connected, but there is a possible with water pressure issue, but that shouldn't bring up a gas valve fault.0
