    Some of that old stuff was pretty good. Never saw or worked on one of those burners but had herd of them and we went over them at STCC using Charlie Burkhardt's book.

    Looking at the picture it's the first time I ever saw a burner installed in "the side" of the old round boiler with horizontal sections.

    I have seen cast iron boilers with vertical sections fired from the back. They said it was like giving the flame an extra pass
