VIessmann WB2B fault, and i button says Without Function

This guy's boiler was faulting out, now this morning he says it's working again, anyone seen a wb2b stop working and display Without Function? Normally there's a code! Anyway, we will call Viessmann if need be.

Was he playing around with the settings? He have kids that would have touched it? Gremlins?

from the manual:

”Without function” is displayed

Cause: No function is allocated to the key you have
pressed.

Remedy: No action required. Select appropriate key."

don't think the kids got to it, yet there was a fault (he sent me a pic) and he could not get the fault code to show on the display. The system started working and we postponed going there today (too busy anyway)
