US Boiler ES2 Error 32

Found in the manual that Error 32 is a “Temperature sensor or interface failure (open or short connection, increased connection resistance, dual sensor mismatch) or control hardware failure“.
That’s quite a range of possibilities. Any ideas what this usually is? How do I please troubleshoot this?
I would appreciate any insights. The system is running, but doesn’t reach set point temperature.
Thank you

Did you do the next steps in the manual?

    - Check sensor is securely attached to control P7 connector.
    - Check sensor wire is not damaged.
    - If secure and in good condition, replace sensor.
    - If problem persists, replace control.
DIY'er ... ripped out a perfectly good forced-air furnace and replaced it with hot water & radiators.

Hans 64- I realize this is an old post, but did you ever resolve this Error 32. I have changed temp sensor and control bord and still having the same issue. Thanks.

Usually in the manual they will tell you the resistance of the sensor in ohms. You need an ohm meter and disconnect the two sensor wires and ohm out the sensor. The sensor is just a resistor who's value changes with temperature. The manual should tell u the ohms at a given temperature.

That is the first thing to check. Check it at the sensor and at the end of the sensor wires at the control board with it disconnected. If the readings are the same or close that will tell you the wires are good.
