I want to mount the stats in the boiler room. hang the floor sensor in the room in an enclosure and run slab mode?

If the tstat will hide in the boiler room, Emerson 16E09-101 will do a lot. Multi voltage with differential down to 1 degree.
Remote sensor.
Another brand has similar functions, name escapes me at the moment.

I may be wrong, but I believe the Viega radiant heat thermostats have that option.

I use a lot of Johnson Controls A19 as a basic digital temp control.
