Forgot Equalizer on Burnham PIN 5. How to correct easily.

Installed a steam boiler without an equalizer slipped my mind you wouldn't believe why. But anyway, Burnham PIN5 gas 2" supply. The boiler has 2 2" supply taps I used one for supply. My question: Can I tap into the plugged supply tapping and connect it to the hartford loop tee at the return? Or must I take it off the supply that feeds the radiation?

The equalizer must come off the end of the header. So if you have one supply going into the header that must be connected for the equalizer and hartford loop.
If you don't how does the water in the header return back to the boiler?
I can't even visualize what you did, without an equalizer where did you connect the hartford loop?0 -
What it is is the hartford loop is only looped returning from the condensate returns it 90's back into the boiler without teeing up to an equalizer that I did not install. So no water/steam is replenishing the return from the supply.
I will just take off from the run of the 2" tee at the supply and tee it into the return as I always do I just forgot this time.
My original question was that if I can equalize the system by tapping into the other supply port that is plugged connecting that into the hartford loop thus providing water to equalize it.0 -

" providing water to equalize it"??? Equalizing does not come by providing water. It's the steam pressure from the header that equalizes. There are two functions to The Equalizer. One is to equalize pressure in the boiler and the Hartford Loop area. That prevents water from backing out of the boiler. In theory your idea would work as an equalizer. There is also a second function of the equalizer. That is to drain the water from the header back into the boiler. Without the standard equalizer, water in The header would never drain back into the boiler. Your idea for equalizer would not help for the draining function of the equalizer.0

Understand Bob. I have installed several steam boilers on this one there were many reasons to over look this will not comment.
My question for being on this forum was the use of the plugged tapping for equalizer. Guess I can't use it, I'm good thanks to all.0
