DIY Hydronic install

I am installing a Chiltrix CX30 with two fan coil units. I want to make sure that my piping layout is correct and that future additions of solar heat pipes w/ buffer tank is taken into consideration.

I currently have the chiller, two fan coils and 100' of 1" Pex-Al-Pex. I will be purchasing fittings from pexuniverse.com. Would anyone like to look at my layout design?

Planning on a reverse return loop with wild coils.

I have a licenced plumber that has agreed to check my work and do the Purge-and-Fill.

I'd consider piping with copper due to the higher temperature requirements of the coils. Especially if you're sending 180 degree water to the coils.

I'm happy you posted this. I'm looking at getting that Chiltrix. It sounds perfect for my situation. Please update us on how things go and it's performance. I'd like to know more! :)

Thanks for the reply. The Chilltrix is a air to water heat pump not a boiler. Max temp is around 130f. Thanks tho.

Here is my fittings layout. Am I missing anything?

Sorry for the potato quality of image.

Starting with the supply side I have:
    1" Coupling
MNPT x FNPT Union Elbow 90
    MNPT x Pex-Al-Pex Compression

    1" Pex-Al-Pex => attic

Distribution and collection Tee are the same.
    1" FNPT x Pex-Al-Pex Compression
    MNPT x C
    1" x 3/4" x 3/4" C x C x C
    3/4" Pex x 3/4" C

    3/4" No-O2 Pex

    At the fan units:
3/4" Pex x FNPT drop ear elbow (drawing is wrong)
    nipple
    Bellows
    Ball valve
(Return side of fan is the same as above excluding ball valve.)

On the return side starting after the collection Tee:
    1" Pex-Al-Pex Compression x MNPT
    Purge & Fill valve
    nipple
    Wye-Strainer
    nipple
MNPT X FNPT Union Elbow 90
    Ball valve

    Image attached.

Hi Norm, I'm wondering if you would be willing to update us on how your installation went? Does the system work well? Is it cost and energy efficient to run? I also wonder what climate zone you are in.
