Looking at this boiler at Menards. Anybody know anything about it?

Just checking the specs.
93% max efficiency
140* max supply temp, the boiler is for radiant applications and needs their radiant "integrator" panel.
Copper HE
2 year warranty.
I'll take a pass.

Oh people will buy the boiler and the panels and do it themselves. They probably got some people from Nest over there for tech support/sizing and design.

What About this one? Seems to be better specs, but I'm not sure about that 3/4" supply and return.

Or should I just stay away from the big box store boilers altogether?

JMHO but anything the big box stores is generally the cheapest equipment available. Not the best

That's a HTP Products UFT boiler simply re-badged under the GE brand name.

The 3/4" supply & return is for Domestic Hot Water, the space heating connections are 1".

You can purchase HTP boilers at plumbing supply houses where you can also find parts for them and warranty service and installers.

The HTP UFT boilers come with a 10-year Heat Exchanger warranty...
