buderus sst300 VS HTP Ultra

I had my buderus st300 coil fail at 12 years or so and buderus will give 175 towards a new sst300.My dilemma is the buderus still only comes with a 10 year warranty and based on my experience (one) thats worrisome.I can get the htp ultra and forgo the 175 but get a liftime warranty, Price is not that important its the hassle of re piping.
Thoughts ?

Rod,

I see your point, but remember that "lifetime warranty" means they cover the price of the tank swap once, and that is only the tank not labor. With that in mind I would still do the HTP, its a better tank in my opinion.

After doing some research i think the viesman 300 checks most of my boxes. It is a true lifetime. Has cleaning ports and comes darn close to all my existing buderus plumbing points. I just need to check with my suppiers to see if they carry veisman. Its not listed on there line cards via web.Are viesman not popular with normal wholesale suppliers?
