Oil tank venting

in Oil Heating
Hope everybody had a nice 4th. I have a question. I am installing 2 - 275 gallon oil tanks both will have separate 2" fills and both will feed the burner. Using Beckett King combo alarm fill and gauge. Can I pipe both vents with one 2" pipe to the outside? Or do I or should I vent each Beckett combo separate. Thanks Peter

    I would do seperate vents. Not much more work.
    I'm also not a fan of the combo VA/gauge. When the gauge fails, you're breaking out the Sawzall rather than just a pipe wrench and some dope, unless you install a union.

    Thanks, do you suggest I install unions on the vent and fill lines.

    Definitely NOT on the fills. On the vents would be OK I guess, if you're going to use the combo. Otherwise no.
    I think I mentioned earlier, look into the Beckett Rocket, or a WiFi fuel level indicator.

    If you're tying the vents together you are going to have to use a union (with threaded pipe). Don't let anyone talk you into a coupling.

    Thanks for the help. It's a short run so I'll do separate vents and fills.
