Steam pressure gauge q's

I work steam manholes and hot environments where ambient can reach up to 300 F* without ventilation...
The gauges don't seem to last very long and seem to burn out pretty fast?
Has anyone had EXPERIENCE with gauges that can withstand high heat ? pressure can range from 5-125psi...
What lifetime can you get out of yours? Price is not an issue.

perhaps talk to Dwyer company. They are very helpful and another thought would be to look for a gauge that has a Mil-spec rating. The Navy gauges i remember seemed pretty tough in fire rooms that were pretty darn hot. Just a thought.
