Solder a Caleffi Zone Valve with the Valve Open or Closed?

I have a Caleffi zone valve #Z207537 - it is a 3/4 sweat lead free. While soldering, should the valve be open or closed?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Either way is fine, remove the actuator when soldering.

Lead free brass heats differently, heat the tube and body evenly to get a good joint.
Lead free fittings tend to expand more than leaded and heat doesn't transfer to the tube as well. This can cause you to overheat the brass and burn it.
