Barrier PEX vs. PEX-AL-PEX for two situations?

Is one significantly more appropriate than the other for:
1. Snow melt?
2. Regular 180 deg hot water heating?

I would use either in snowmelt, the PAP is a hardier albeit slightly costlier option. When you've got 5 miles of tube, it adds up.

I would use PAP every time for high temp applications. The expansion/chafing/noise characteristics of regular barrier pex makes it an inferior choice for this.
