    I'll second that. That guy didn't read the manual. He reduced the 2-1/2" steam outlet to 2" with a bushing, which is a big no-no on a Dunkirk boiler.

    Then there is a concentric reducer on the header before the elbow to the equalizer. This will trap water in the header.

    This will produce wet steam, reduced efficiency and possibly banging.

    A tubing cutter would have eliminated that 3" el in about 2 minutes.
