a steam training lab

I visited this lab today at NSC in downtown St Louis. I presented a hydronic training in the room adjacent to it.

It's very nicely piped by a local contractor. I hope to attend a basic steam class there in the near future and learn what all the gizmos do.

Seems there is still a bit of a residential steam market in that town judging by the products they move through this wholesaler.

That's all high-pressure equipment. Nice setup for learning!

What pressure determines high pressure steam?

Any pressure above 15psi is high-pressure steam.

How much pressure do general purpose steam turbines normally run on?
Since we are on the topic...

    That's superheated steam. It's usually at 1,160 psi and 600 degrees C.

    Whoa.

    That's impressive!
I think I'd rather read about it than work on it. One mistake would be the last one.

Think I saw "propress" on the Fulton boiler water column blow down. Not sure if that ought to be there.
