    I love my FLIR. Mine is a fancy E4 but doesn't take video like the cell phone versions do.

    isn't it amazing how you can use a 200.00 flir on a camera and do a thermal video, yet their 4k E8 model cant do a video..crazy..very cool though, by the way!

    Further info: What the video shows is a circa 1925 Hoffman Differential Loop controlled vapor system steam main heating up at approx. 2 oz/in2.

    The cross-over steam trap was a itsy-bitsy Hoffman #18 trap that had failed completely closed.

    As that main was relatively short, it got a new Barnes & Jones #122 installed by @Steamhead.

    The longer main got a 1/2" @Sailah special "big mouth" Barnes & Jones cross-over trap. The #18 Hoffman Steamhead replaced was failed mostly closed.

    Both mains heated up within a minute of each other.

    As that main terminated in a crawl space, it was harder to video.
