Hi I have a 30 year old crown boiler and looking to get a newer unit. I live just outside of Philadelphia in a 50 year old 2400 sq ft 2 story home that had 2 additions put on. Two of the main first floor rooms have 14 ft ceilings. I have a electric hot water heater so I don't need the heater to have a domestic coil. I found a crown twz150 very reasonable ($200) on Craigslists. My question Is the boiler to big for my house?

A heat loss calculation must be done to know what size boiler is needed. Food for thought......a new boiler that has been under water is worth nothing, but could be sold for $200 on Craigslist.0

Ditto to what Paul said. There's no way to prove that boiler is any good until you hook it up
There was an error rendering this rich post.
