Hey guys, we have been fighting this boiler for a while now. We service it normally annually. Do internal and all has been fine over last 10 yrs or so. Now we are getting fairly regular lockouts. Large GC with his mechanical guy did some work on piping in remote bldg. off this boiler. We found water fairly dirty from the pipe work so we flushed out well and skimmed. This boiler has a feed tank also so no reason to go low? Switches all working on 150 control also. Kind of perplexing us. The Safeguard has a 60 or 90 second lockout delay so really weird to us. We did just for heck of it change Safeguard also. The remote bldg. has a condensate receiver in a pit also that pumps back to the feed tank, just fyi.
Any help/input appreciated.

Could there be some new return piping whose height is just above the height of the boiler waterline? The boiler pressure can cause enough water to "hide" in those returns to trip the LWCO.
Is there any permanent water loss from the system?--NBC0
