    Small update:

    No response from the company or the contractor, so I called the company again today, and sent them pictures of the 3(!!) leaks and the wrong piping, with an explanation of why it is wrong.

    They said they contacted the contractor, who usually does great work, and they will call me to set up an appointment for next week.

    I cannot find the manual, though I do remember giving it to the contractor when they came...

    And yes, there are two additional leaks. The one in the joining of the copper and the black pipe has gotten worse, and two of the pipe connection on top of the boiler have steam bubbling out of them :(
