VXT-24 GPM

My customer on a final walkthrough stated that the VXT-24 only feeds 1.0 GPM. Is there a requirement for the GPM flow rate on a feed control on a low pressure steam boiler? It's a Weil McLain LGB-12.

    Why are they concerned with how fast it feeds? I would be concerned if they want it to feed a lot, excess makeup water is bad. I would also be concerned that they aren't going to pay attention to it if they are that concerned with the feed speed.

    That boiler shouldn't need much more than a gallon of water over the course of a month. That VTX feeds plenty fast enough.

    It is correct that the VXT feeds at 1 gallon per minute. The problem isn't the feed rate so much as the feed amount. The VXT is too small for that size boiler.

    The VXTC Commercial feeds at 10 GPM. But what's really stupid is it doesn't have an LED counter. It comes with a standard water meter which one would have to note and record periodically. Idiotic.
