Ray-tec radiant heater

I have a Ray-Tec radiant heater and it has 4 cells. theres flame coming out of two cells. none of the cells get red either.

    1. Excessive gas pressure
    2. Defective regulator
    3. Lack of combustion air
    4. Cracked/damaged ceramic
    Don't run it until it is corrected/serviced

    No Pics, But I think it might be set up for propane, and I'm using NG. I friend at work suggested I look at the orfice and see what size it is. I may need to get smaller ones for each cell.

    That combination usually reduces the input. Doing the opposite (running propane through natural gas orifices and regulators) will over fire the unit.

    In addition to changing out the orifices, you'd also have to make a spring change to the regulator.

    Contact the manufacturer for specific instructions and appropriate parts. Have the model number and serial number available before you call.
