I am trying to figure out what boiler will work from my house better. I live in Worcester Massachusetts ZIP Code 01605 in a ranch style house 1076 ft.² built in 1947 with one bathroom. Recently had insulation added in the attic some insulation in the walls still have the original windows. It has a monoflo system with a 1 inch copper pipe out looped around the house. On the connectors on the Monoflo go down to 1/2 and then into 3/4 baseboard 70 feet of high output baseboard heater. So do I go with the 60,000 (NCB-150E) or the 80,000 (NCB-180E) BTU Navien? I was also looking at the Rinnai E75CR but gallons per minute for the DHW seem too low at 2.1 GPM.

With out doing a heat loss I would say you should be fine with the NCB-150e. But going to the NCB-180 shouldn't be a big deal either but would be oversized do to having only 70' of baseboard figure even at 580 btus a foot you only have 40,600 btus at 180f. This just a guess. Do you know which brand and model baseboard you have?0

Update
I was told high output baseboard can do 700 to 800 BTUs per foot not sure if that is true.
I have not done a heat load on the house but here is the specs for the room size and window size. All the ceilings are 8ft R38 in the attic.

The boiler in the house right now that I am looking to replace is a
Burnham model 204NS-TEI2
Input 96,000 BTU
D.O.E HTG cap 80,000BTU
Which I think is crazy oversized for this house. I had one plumber tell me the 60,000 which is really a 56,000 I had another plumber tell me the 80,000 which is really a 75,000 not sure which one is right. Looks like they both modulate 6:1 for heating. The DHW is 2.6GPM or 3.4GPM since I only have one bathroom I think both units will work. Any help will be appreciated thank you.0
