Hot water change out

Member Posts: 1,264
Poppy, Dragon and Nelvis knocked this one out yesterday. It was a "no heat" change out in a 90 year old row house 2 blocks from Logan Circle in DC.
The row house has been converted into four apartments and the tenants made Poppy's job difficult. They refused to move their cars to allow access to the basement. The joy of working in DC.

Good looking job you and your crew have done. Know that difficulty all to well when working in NYC.0

Thanks, @ EzzyT. Poppy and his crew get all the credit. All I did was close the deal and cash the check.
Working in the city always presents new and unique challenges.0 -
Looks great!
Seriously they call you to fix it then won't move their cars to allow you to fix it? These people exist? Did they want you to try and fix it from outside as well?0 -
What was wrong with the "old" boilers? They Do not look that old.....0
-
They don't look old but they are. 1995 Burnham XG's. Obsolete. Parts are no longer available.0

21 years on a boiler is not old. However if parts are obsolete it leaves little choice......0

Cannot get vizlogic board. Or bypass thermostatic valve.0
