Went to customer today. Steam boiler. Burnham IN7. Piping was to manufactures minimum. Boiler probably around 10 years old. Never skimmed. Water level jumping around like crazy and lots of banging and spitting. Hooked up pump to boiler drain( 3/4" full port). Filled and pumped out dozen times. Took off 3/4" pressure relief valve and put in 3/4" male by hose fitting. Hooked up pump. Feed water into boiler slightly slower then pump was pumping out. Feed and pumped for bit more then half hour. Ran boiler for close to an hour. Water barely moved and zero banging.
