Corrosion around fitting
Options
Is this due to the incorrect material? Or do I need to look into something else. This is a Burnham ES2 boiler, and is about 2 years old.
Thanks,
Justin

If I was a betting man, I'd say that Chinese fitting has been leaking for a long time due to bad threads.
Single pipe 392sqft system with an EG-40 rated for 325sqft and it's silent and balanced at all times.

Cool. I didn't want to buy the same parts and it happen again. I try to check the boiler and piping every six months for stuff like this. Guess I should have checked sooner and harder.0

It may have leaked from day one. Often times a connection like that leaks when the system is cold, and stops as it heats up.
It will be a bit of a project to replace, judging by the tight connection nipples and fittings.Bob "hot rod" Rohr
