I am re piping my dry retun with 1" pipe and want to know a couple things.
1 is the pitch a 1/4 in per foot ?
2. If I wanted to use a degree guage on pipe rather than a level how many degrees?
3. what happens on a steam system if the pitch on the dry return is steeper than what it calls for?

1/4" is good. Nothing happens if it is more. Level or sloped the wrong direction and there will likely be water hammer.0

1 inch in 20 feet is enough for a dry return. More pitch can't hurt. All Steamed Up, Inc.
