Heating Pros,

Through the help of another ticket, I've narrowed down the problem on my Triangle Tube Smart 40 indirect tank.. There appears to be a microscopic fissure/leak in the stainless steel nipple that comes out of the tank to the PTRV valve. The problem is that as I understand it, this pipe/nipple is welded to the tank and I can't replace it.

Anyone have any thoughts? Is there some sort of tape I can wrap around it to prevent future leaks?

The expansion tank has been replaced and a new T&PRV valve is on order (to be replaced Monday).
