Hi, we have a weil mclain eg65 with a hot water coil belive it's 15gpm, along with a 40g storage tank, recently noticed that the steam / heat comes up while using the shower for log periods of time, is that something normal? or should i be looking for service, any ideas what's causing this to happen? This is a relatively new furnace less than 4 years old, had the damper motor replaced recently...
Thanks for your help

You need service.
If it's a steam system it sounds like the boiler is coming to a boil when making hot water and it shouldn't be, especially if it's connected to an indirect water heater, it doesn't need to run any higher than 160 for hot water.
Perhaps is has no water temperature control for a hot water only call, just steam controls and if you run the hot water for extended periods the system will make steam. ...........and waste energy.0
