Can anyone identify this radiator?

I thought it was a Verona but the design is different and so are the specs. It seems to come in a 21" and a 27" tall model (maybe others) and is 3" wide per section, and 10" or 11" deep.

Other questions: do you think I could convert it to steam, assuming I could get this over-6-foot long beast into my house? Any suggestions on moving it? I'm guessing this thing must weigh 500 lbs at 6'x21"...

    I have 1 pipe steam.
  • You could run a forced hot water loop of the bottom of the steam boiler, and have a separate zone for the radiator...

It most certainly can be used for steam. Additionally, you could probably remove every other radiator in your house

Is this to replace an existing unit or a new addition?

This would be to replace a large radiator in a bay window with window sills 24" high. I currently have a 22 segment 44" x 26" (27"?) tall corto (EDR 66?) in a large living room that requires 59 EDR (depending on source and if we raise the dropped ceiling from 9' back to 10').

I wanted to do the math on this radiator to see if it would be closer to the EDR we need without blocking the bay window (maybe even put a bench over it, the cats would love that), but I can't look up the EDR without knowing it's name.

I've seen those but still don't know the make and model. But the EDR chart for the Verona should be close enough to use.

If you need spot on specs,i would contact consumersplumbing.com Lake St.,Chicago..Not that im experienced in this field, only because i have been on the look for radiators the last several months, and my guess of the brand of yours is by American Radiator Co....and i had looked at a smaller version, with the same scrolling details.

Not a Rococo. The Rococo was a column radiator, this is a flue-type.
