Condensate pump for portable aircondtioning unit

I have a 12K BTU portable air conditioner in a bedroom and would like to add a pump to remove the access condensate. The unit supposedly gets rid of the condensate but there is a statement in the manual that mentions if the pan becomes full I must drain it manually. Is there a pump that would also turn off the air conditioner should the pump become clogs or fails?
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
