Mono flow down feed tees
Working on a split loop mono flow system with 1.25 inch supplys. I ran across two down flow tees spaced about 6 inches apart. The .75 inch openings are both facing down and are capped. They were never used. One tee is marked supply and the other is marked return and the supply comes first based on flow. It appears to me that this poses an unnecessary restriction on that supply. My intention is to connect the two tees with a piece of .75 pipe to restore the flow. Will this work?? Are the restriction cones in the down feed tees arranged so that the cone (small end of cone) in the supply tee is facing the flow and the cone in the return tee is facing downstream like a normal up flow tee? I doubt that this arrangement would have worked very well with the down flow tees only 6 inches apart.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Piping a bypass is the proper way. The orientation you describe is correct for down flow. Eighteen inches is the minimum spacing, but a general rule of thumb, is to space them to the width of the emitter.0
