    If i use a seperate boiler like the lochnivar that Hatterasguy posted earlier in this thread with a 257K output....and use 119 gallon indirect lets say the crown mega stor MS-119 ....it says "maximum transfer rates" 417 GPH @90F rise....continous draw is 384 GPH.....if i use a 2nd MS-79 along with the 119 would that give me the 660 i required....mixed down from 150F

    Rich if i use this and mix down does the the first hour rating go up ? Im checking all options possible i have a couple similar jobs coming up

    The PHP399-119 would give you the equivalent of two 199k tankless heaters plus a 316L storage tank with a lot less labor and piping involved.

    ...and yes, the first hour rating would go up. The manufacturers' first hour ratings aren't always based on the same temp rise and sometimes they adjust other assumptions to make things look better. It's simpler to look at gallons of storage and BTUs delivered (firing rate x eff) when making comparisons.

    Tank temp can be set as high as 160* as per IOM . That gets you further while mixing down . Storing at 160* should get you in the range of , 644 gallons per hour or 10.73 GPM .

    The idea that all these folks are gonna be showering and running dishwashers is fantasy .

    Hatt's idea is not altogether bad at all , running through that coil in the steamer in the winter could hedge you but I don't think it would be necessary .
