Anybody use Laing D5 Series 12-24 volt DC circulators, pros or cons?

We have sold quite a few of the Solar/ Strong version.
occasionally one comes back with the "factory smoke" released.
Beware of the pump curves on the various models and the type of module you power it with, if it is a PV installation.
here is a good brochure showing the various versions from the Houseneeds site.

Was planning to use the D5 090B in a circulating application from a gasification boiler to a oil fired water heater. Last winter the piping froze and split . It is a approximately a 175 foot run of 3/4 inch copper tube round trip, gasification boiler is in a unheated garage. Just need the water to be moving.0

Without defining that entire circuit, valves, fittings, HX pressure drop, etc, probably moving about 3.5 gpm with that circulator.Bob "hot rod" Rohr
