Peerless EC/ECT Boiler - Coil and Gass

Under emergency situations last year had installed a Peerless EC/ECT-06-W/S boiler.

1. Am looking to convert to gas (tanks are going, constant prob w/ the oil, ...) and understand that there are definitely a few consideration when choosing a gas gun to pair w/ this, but from the reading it seems to be at least doable despite the fact that this is listed as an oil-fired boiler. Can someone confirm that can convert and give a point in the right direction for best gas gun to pair w/ it?

2. It's next to an existing water tank (good sized) w/ its own carlin oil burner (on it's last legs). Quest here is can I add a coil to the peerless instead and how would affect the conversion (if at all)? Also, if that's not a good option can someone suggest the best/alternative hot water delivery here?

FYI: It's a 6 family home w/ about 300k BTU currently on single-pipe steam system and tekmar-270 controls.

Thanks!

Yes you can use a conversion burner in a the Peerless ECT boiler. A Carlin EZ gas will be fine.
Yes you can put in a coil to the boiler for hot water.... however I am 95% sure that that coil alone will not keep up w the hot water demands of a 6 fam home.
You need to add storage to that.

Don't maintain temp on the boiler if you use a coil, set the aquabooster up as cold start, it will cycle enough to keep the boiler warm in the off season. Or a tankless DHW?

We decided to opt for separate hot water tank. Though getting some questions regarding ability to convert this model to gas (since it's listed as oil). Can provide any more background on ability to use as gas? Thanks!

Carlin has a spec for the 201Gas burner in that boiler which should work fine. But you need someone who has experience doing this- where are you located?
