Cutting pex-a?

Is there a special tool required for cutting pex-a or can a DIYer such as my self use something I have on hand, like a hacksaw?
If a proper tool is required I'll buy one, but I'd rather not for the few connections I'm going to make.

Anything will work, but these are worth every penny IMO https://www.milwaukeetool.com/hand-tools/saws-and-cutters/48-22-4200

Is the Ridgid 23493 acceptable?
I'm only asking because I can get that via Amazon Prime but not the Milwaukee. Their prices are very close, shipping cost \ time aside.

Probably shouldn't use Pex-a on steam.
And, we already know there isn't any other acceptable hydronic fluid other than steam.
I'll have you know I was working on a hot water system last weekend..........
And I was lost, but that's another story.

And he is asking about Pex...who is this person? ChrisJ would be soldering copper "like a man".2

Did I actually say that?
Yeah... sounds like me.. "A real man would solder copper".
My dad wants recirculating hot water and his system is all pex-a.
I'm giving him what he wants. He deserves it.Single pipe quasi-vapor system. Typical operating pressure 0.14 - 0.43 oz. EcoSteam ES-20 Advanced Control for Residential Steam boilers. Rectorseal Steamaster water treatment0 -
Actually almost any plastic could be heat welded. I have seen that equipment before. That would be interesting to see on pex....not that there is a good reason to "weld" it. lol0
