I just left an air conditioning estimate in jersey city....and this how they braced the equipment....i guess they are digging down in basement for more ceiling height....i thought it was funny

    And home used to have steam heat its a brownstone...they converted to a "More" efficient warm air system 6 years ago ....compressor is case grounded probably from the poor install

    The T&P vent doesn't look like it's 6" off the floor to me, more like 2".

    Well.........when there was a floor under it.

    LOL. We actually did that with my moms furnace when we had to pour a floor under it. Had it sitting on 2 x 4's which were sitting on five gallon buckets. Looked bad, but the furnace doesn't weigh much and we just had to pour a pad for a new base. We did take pictures, but not sure where they are.

    I think it's overkill. Surely the PVC venting would suspend it adequately. *eye roll*

    What they said. If the pvc vent failed the water and gas lines would pick up the slack.
