Steam boiler with PS802 LWCO need help adding UNI MATCH WATER FEEDER.

Pennco steam boiler 112K input with MM PS802 Low water CO. Boiler works fine. Thermostat works fine. Adding a UNI MATCH 24V water feeder. When I press the feeder manual button, the device makes a buzzing/humming noise but no water pressure in the pipes. When the LWCO sends the signal to the feeder, the feeders green light comes on and again no pressure and no water filling up the boiler. All the water lines, dip switches and wiring have been tested. I can only guess the water feeder is defective.

Any suggestions before I have to take the water feeder out and replace it?

Thanks,

Have you checked to see if the output of your transformer is equal to the load requirements for the water feeder?--NBC

Make sure there isn't another shut-off valve somewhere downstream on the water line that wasn't shut off to install the auto feeder.

As NBC mentioned if your 24v transformer is too small the voltage will drop when the feeder tries to turn on.

    1. Make sure you have it wired correctly for the LWCO you are using. There are 18 different wiring configurations, depending on the LWCO in use.
    2. Depending on what the "Dwell" switch is set at 1, 2, or 3, the water feeder will delay from 60 sec., 90 sec. or 100 sec., respectively. Make sure you are waitng long enough for the delay to time out.
    3. Make sure the water level in the boiler is actually below the LWCO probe. Feeder will not feed water if the boiler water is actually above the probe.
    4. Make sure the Water feeder feed arrow is actually pointed in the direction of the water flow into the boiler.
    5. Make sure both the inlet water and the outlet water valves are open.
