Customer texted me to say he was at the hardware store to pick up a 3/4 plug for his relief valve so he would have heat. Said no rush come by anytime next week and replace it. I texted him back and told him to search "boiler explosion nanny cam" and that I had one on my truck.

Was the valve leaking because it was bad, or because it was doing it's job?

What I really want to know is did the customer learn anything from this?

Single pipe 392sqft system with an EG-40 rated for 325sqft and it's silent and balanced at all times.

    Sometimes they work on gasoline

Many years ago a wooden cabin cruiser was on the Gulf of Mexico and developed engine trouble. The access to the engine was opened and the compartment was dark and smelled of gas fumes. A match was struck to see and find the problem. The gulf was littered with big tooth picks or just plain debris.
