in THE MAIN WALL
Just recently when the Out side Temp rises the Boilers temp goes to 240 and consequently blows the pressure relief value. this unit serves 6 Apartments with 4 zones , it is hand fed and shook 4 times daily as the Transfer head has stopped working over 2 years ago. the coal burn is Excellent, however not too sure how to prevent this problem. does it have something to do with the overhead tank needing drained ? this unit is used for heat as well as Domestic Hot water in the winter only

    At least part of the problem is that you turned a stoker boiler into a handfed, so the amount of coal/fire/ash in the combustion tube is not controlled properly. I suggest you fix the auger and set the controls as AA recommends. Also check that the flap on the fire viewing port opens about 3/4" when the fan shuts off.
