Blower motor issue

I have a Lennox G50uh-090-07 furnace was working great right up to last night. I have seen the diagnostic light show a "primary or secondary limit switch open". I believe the issue is my blower motor will not spin. My combustion fan starts, the gas ignitor glows and the solenoid for the gas opens an the burners fire. this lasts for about one minute and then the furnace shuts down. Never does the main house fan spin.
I have went to the thermostat and lowered the temp and placed the fan from auto to "ON" to see if I can get the fan to turn and it does not. Are there any steps I need to try before replacing the fan?
