Hello, I have a rinnai r 53. It is 8 years old and it has been rescaled on a yearly basis. It is loosing some of what it once had in the heating water department. Reduced temp and volume. I have checked the screen and it was not the problem. It is not throwing any codes either. Any ideas?

What did you use to De-scale it?
City water or Well water?
Natural gas or LP/ propane?
How is the gas flow to it? Did you add another gas appliance to the line?0 -
What is the temperature set for on the display, and what is the actual temperature delivered at the faucet using a thermometer while the faucet is running.
Another possiblility, there could be a cross connection in the house allowing cold water to enter into the hot piping, which would make the hot water tempered. Shut off the Rinnai hot or cold service valve, and open up a hot faucet in the house, there should be no flow.0
