Looking for someone in the Staten Island area who will to fix an American Arco No. 7 .
By the small water puddle which forms from time to time, it appears to have a slow leak.
Virtually sight unseen everyone just to install a new furnence.

Is this a hot water system? What fuel?
How old is this boiler? If the leak is from the joints of the sections, then the labor cost of taking the sections out and replacing them, if even new sections can be had, would be as great as the cost of installing a new boiler.
If you are using oil, and have no wish to switch to gas, there may be a great number of functional oil boilers available used on Craigslist.
The old timers would sometimes put flax seed into the boiler to close up a leak, or they would out a string soaked in salt on the affected area. Maybe this will just rust itself shut.--NBC1 -
