What is the difference between the AMTROL/EXTROL EX-15 and RX-15 expansion tanks? What is the life expectancy of the rubber bladder assuming 6 months operation a year, 120F max water temp, and 15 psi max pressure?

The RX series have a polymer lining on the inside of the metal shell, which allows them to be used in non-barrier systems without fear of rusting. They're also a good idea on systems which are otherwise composed of nonferrous components.
Bladder life depends a lot on water quality, but should not differ between the two designs. I would expect either to last at least five years in a properly set up and maintained system, but they do need to be tested at least semi-regularly.0
