TACO 008 vs 00R

Looking at the pump curves for both the 008 and 00R the two circulators appear to be pretty much the same. However the 00R is significantly cheaper at my supplier, and one know why this would be? I've been using the 008 on radiant systems for many years, but was suggested to try the 00R as it "is specifically designed for radiant". What is the real difference? Contacted TACO via email, and didn't get a response. If they are basically the same, I will use the 00R just because of the price difference.

Thanks all

One is a single speed pump the other a 3-Speed Pump. I would hope you chose pumps based the gpm and ft of head requirement for the job. Price difference is because the 00R which is now called a 0015 has a direct competitor with a 3-speed pump at that price point.

@Chris yes I do choose circulators based on the head and GPM of a particular job, the 008 is just usually very good for 300' pex runs off the average manifold job. Pushing 3/4 to 1 GPM through each loop on a 4-8 loop job.

I didn't run any real head numbers here.
