I would open it up and look inside the fan inlet. Sure sounds like something is stuck inside it and rubbing on the fan blades.

Agree with @rick in Alaska . Do it before the fan is toast.

It can only be the inducer (fan). Probably a problem with how the casing is secured.

Thanks all for the feed back. We just opened it up and checked the fan. Any other suggestions.

This tends to happen in Zone 3 and Zone 4 after we turn the heat up it does not happen all the time. Right after the noise stops I hear water circulating in the system.

Could it be not enough water getting to machine or gas?

    Thanks again !

Put your hand over the fan inlet slightly to see if it the noise changes any its either the fan or pump flow

Thanks all for the feedback. I reached out to Weil Mclain's Tech support today and they asked if our exhaust run was long or short. We told him 4 ft - he stated that was short & we are getting to much air to the boiler. We were told to put in part # 383700235 to stop the noise

This info is not in the manual just came up recently and no charge for part. You must reach out to distributor

I doubt that is the problem, but weirder things have happened. Sure sounds like mechanical noise.
Hope it fixes the problem though.
