Triangle Tube Excellence Problem

I installed a TT Excellence 110 about 5 years ago that uses 12 wall panel radiators and of course, provides DHW. The CW feed is manual and the boiler drops to zero pressure with 4 hrs. of filling to 15PSI. There are no obvious leaks on the system or underneath the boiler or "near-boiler" piping. The system starts up immediately after re-filling. The boiler relief valve was replaced yesterday. Anybody have some ideas?

Pinhole in a tube? Goes right out the condensate drain unnoticed. Had a Solo 110 with that once.

The expansion tank is fully charged and not leaking.
Robert, How would one tell if there's a pinhole in the firetube HX?

You could pull off the condensate trap with the unit off and see if it's dripping a lot of water. If you are losing that much water you will see it.

There was an error rendering this rich post.

Isolate, drain boiler and air test for an hour + or -. You may want to remove and plug relief valve hole, then test to 50psi

I went back last night and there was no condensate at high temp. Looked further and there was a small leak at union nut(s) on thermostatic anti-scald valve and a tiny pinhole leak at solder joint under union nuts.

    Good catch.

For the few (older) systems that actually require an auto feeder, we still try to avoid leaving them on 100% of the time. The laying of even fractionally educated human eyes on a system every month or so has some real value.
