Low Temp alert

I have a customer that lives in Florida for the winter his insurance company wants a temperature monitor for his house in Maine. He does not have a land line at the house but he does have Internet. My question is there a thermostat that links to wifi that would send him a low temp alert if the boiler went out. I googled it and all I get is the nest but I am not a huge fan. I was wondering if any body here has used other brands and what their experience was.
Thanks

Honeywell wifi thermostats will send an alert on low temp. I think ecobee will also.

I have a Nest (garbage) a Honeywell 8000 and an Ecobee.
Figured if I'm going to sell them I better try them first.
Honeywell is the least expensive. They also make a 6000 series.
Ecobee has a web portal where you can track energy usage.

Eocene can do that as well as high temperature alert.

I left home yesterday with one radiant zone locked open, a few hours later my Ecobee sent me a notice on my phone that the office was at 87 degrees!

Luckily I was able to talk my wife through the procedure to unlock the ZV.

So it will protect against freeze up with a notice, but also if you have a stuck valve or failed stats causing an overheat. Which, of course would burn up a lot of LP in short order.

I found the Ecobee to be very user friendly to install and program.
