I have 9 steam radiators in my 1700 sq ft house. Four of them are upstairs, and when it is set to 62 degrees on the thermostat (which is on the first floor), it is 75 degrees upstairs. Is it save to turn off a couple of the radiators upstairs using the knob under them?

shutting down multiple radiators on a system can cause the boiler to become over sized for the radiators that are in use. The best thing to do is slow down the 2nd floor radiators using smaller vents. Try Hoffman #40's and see if that fixes the problem.0
