Anyone know of a place to get a water meter to pipe into my boiler make up water line.

    watermeters.com, of course. It should be low lead brass if it connects to a potable water supply, or a composite body..

    Or just keep it after the backflow preventer, no?

    Single pipe 392sqft system with an EG-40 rated for 325sqft and it's silent and balanced at all times.

    Officially BFDs are supposed to be LF. There is a carve out for boiler feed devices, but not all inspectors know or interpret that.

    If the meter is just for the boiler and downstream of the BFD, that should fly as you suggested.
