Taco ccirculator with 3 ports

Having trouble saving and copying a picture sent to me of a Taco circulator.
It must be pretty old because I called Taco and they said the Taco 005- bf1-2w is a regular diaphragm hw circulator.
However the photo shows 1/2" piping attached to 3 ports, all at 90 degree angles tp each other. There is not a straight thru suction and discharge. Very strange???
It's on a Weil Mclain boiler.
Just curious about how this works. Is a built-in bypass? One of the ips connections is part of a 2-bolt flange on the circulator.

Meant to say "cartridge" circulator, NOT "diaphragm" circulator.0

Found the Weil McLain literature. It's a Combo Circulator-Mixing Valve.
Has anyone had experience with this?
Curious about how well it works.0 -
